Let’s Go to the Movies, by guest blogger Charlene Chronicles
Here’s a great Ziptivity idea for those with wee ones, from one of our favorite bloggers – Charlene Chronicles…
Baby Pictures is an event sponsored by Showcase Cinemas. Once a month or so, there is a movie that Moms (Dads, Grandparents) can attend AND where babies are welcome! Yes, its true! No one will freak out when they see you walk into the movie with a baby in tow!
There are baby changing stations, an area for strollers just outside the cinema door, soft lighting during the movie so you can feed your baby, and the sound is turned down ever so slightly to protect those little ears, but not too much that you cannot hear what is being said on the screen.
Even better, the price is just $6! The catch? Well, there really isn’t one, unless you don’t want to go to the movies in the afternoon. Most movies start at 12:00pm.
This program is geared to babies between 0-12 months old and the movies are adult movies. So it really is not for toddlers or younger kids. So pack up the diaper bag, grab some popcorn and take some YOU time.
The next Baby Pictures movie is this Thursday, December 2nd at 12:00pm. The movie is Burlesque (starring Cher and Christina Aguilera) and the participating theatres are:
Showcase Cinema (Legacy Place, Dedham) • Blackstone Valley Cinema (Millbury) • Showcase Cinema (Patriot Place, Foxboro) • Showcase Cinema (Randolph) • Showcase Cinema (Revere) • Showcase Cinema (Lowell)
